Caritas Hong Kong Elderly Service founded in 1979. Carry out a series of services to meet the needs of the elderly and carers. Services include elderly care centers, elderly community centers, day care centers, nursing and attention homes, integrated home care services, home improvement and community care services, spa services, daily necessities shop for the elderly, Ning’an services, nursing homes, and integrated day service centers for the elderly and carers service support network.
In response to the needs of the elderly, provide diversified and appropriate community support services, including education and development, dementia support services, counseling services, carer services, etc. The centre has recently been actively exploring innovative services to respond to the needs of the elderly in the district, including the “Jockey Club Senior Citizens Program” which prevents depression of the elderly, provides individual counselling, group and community education . In order to support patients suffering from mild to moderate dementia and their families, the center uses the “Wise Friends of the Medical Society Project” to enhance community-level nursing and support services through the cooperation model of the medical community, so that they can obtain appropriate nursing services and provide carers with relevant support. At the same time, in order to improve the quality of life of service users, the center has also focused on promoting life education services in recent years, examining the value of life with the elderly, promoting the Four Paths of Life, so that the elderly can enjoy their old age without regrets and complaints.
