The Methodist Center, or MC for short, was established in October 1980. It is rooted in Wan Chai and provides diversified social services to different communities and is committed to caring for the disadvantaged. Service targets include children, young people, adults, families, the elderly, ethnic minorities, schools, and businesses. Services include: children and family services, comprehensive youth services, elderly and health services, community support services, counseling and clinical psychological services, special educational needs services, school support services, extended education services, employment, training and corporate services. The Methodist Wan Chai Elderly Service Center is the first comprehensive service center for the elderly opened by the Methodist Center. It began to provide diversified and new services to the elderly in Wan Chai in April 1999, and was launched on April 1, 2003. Transform into a district center for the elderly to coordinate services for the elderly in the district.
