In 1954, Pastor Xiao Kaili, with the assistance of Pastor Morrison, rented a stone house in Wong Tai Sin Kangle New Village to start a gospel ministry. Initially, children’s bible classes and literacy classes were opened, and then expanded to Wong Tai Sin, Tung Tau Village, Wang Tau Hom, Ngau Tau Kok, Diamond Hill and other areas to spread the gospel through school and social services. In 1964, the Zhuyuan District Assembly of Gods was established and registered with the government as a non-profit corporation.
In response to the reorganization of elderly services by the Social Welfare Department and the needs of the community, the Association made an appropriate response to the Fung Tak Village Elderly Recreation Center, which has served the elderly in Diamond Hill for 10 years. On April 1, 2003, it was officially transformed into ” “Feng Tak Elderly Health Center” is the first self-financing service unit of the Association, and participated in the second phase of the “Elderly Community Care Voucher Pilot Project” in 2016.
The center aims to provide personal care services for the frail elderly, so that the elderly can enjoy their twilight years in a familiar community, and provide diversified support and assistance to carers to strengthen their confidence and ability to care for the elderly.
