Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Ma Cheng Shuk Ying Home for the Elderly, formerly named as Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Ma Cheng Shuk Ying Hostel for the Elderly, was established on 28 November 1991. The Home was later renamed to “Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Ma Cheng Shuk Ying Home for the Elderly” on 1 March 2000 with all the self-care places being converted to meal places. In response to societal needs and to be in line with the governmental policy on elderly services, the Social Welfare Department approved the Home to convert to a Care and Attention Home providing continuum of care to the residents on 16 March 2006.
